Outdoor Sunday Morning Worship Services

Sunday Mornings at 9:30am in the Parking Lot

As we continue with our Outdoor Services, please keep in mind the rising summer temperatures. We encourage everyone attending to bring a bottle of water with them and to dress appropriately for the weather. If you feel the temperature will be too much for you, we invite you to worship with us online. We are still posting a new video service each Sunday.

Guidelines for OUTSIDE Worship at First United Methodist Church of CMCH

We will be adhering to Federal, State, CDC and Conference Guidelines.

*Our guidelines will be subject to change at any time to remain in compliance.

Your safety and your health are very important to us. We feel it is our responsibility to protect our congregants, so if anyone has COVID-19, is feeling unwell, or has been in contact with someone who has the virus, we respectfully ask that you do not attend our services at this time.

As leaders of the church we ask that all adhere to the following guidelines. These changes are difficult for all of us. But remember we are praying that this too shall pass.

  • One Service will be held, beginning at 9:30am, in the Parking Lot by the side door to the Family Worship Center.

  • The parking spots in our lot will be limited, but there is plenty of street parking only a short distance away and the county lot should still be accessible.

  • Everyone attending must bring a mask. It is strongly encouraged for all attending to wear masks. Though we are outdoors, we want to be aware of and courteous of the concerns and well-being of those around us.

  • It is strongly encouraged that everyone practice social distancing and remain 6 feet apart from those who do not share your same household.

  • It is strongly encouraged that there be no physical greetings (i.e. hugging, kissing, fist or elbow bumps, or handshakes) Suggested non-contact greetings: Say hello(say their name), hand over your heart, wave, bowing

  • A bathroom will be accessible if needed

  • Pop-up Canopies will be placed around the area used for worship, however, you are able to bring you own as well if you would like.

  • Those attending are asked to bring their own chairs

  • There will be no bulletins or handouts.

A collection plate/basket will be available for you to place your offering in. You are still also able to mail your offering in or use our online giving.

The Church Office Staff can be contacted by phone or email.  If you have any questions regarding this, please don’t hesitate to contact the church office at 609-465-7087 or cmchsecretary@comcast.net.

Building Usage Policy – Updated July 9, 2020

The Following was voted on and approved by the Church Council on July 8, 2020.

Official business (i.e. sub-contractor work, school tours, staff interviews) may be conducted in the church building if all parties involved follow current CDC, Local, State and Federal Guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing masks and social distancing.   Following any official business in the building, those arranging/overseeing the business are responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of the areas where said business was conducted and any common touch points (i.e. door knobs, light switched, railings).  All committee and ministry meetings must continue via ZOOM as per the conference recommendations.   Currently no funeral services are allowed in the building.  Currently use of the van is prohibited.

If you have any questions regarding this, please contact the church office at 609-778-7272 or cmchsecretary@comcast.net.
